Sam's My Very First Bible

This is one of Sam's first books. It was given to him by one of his godfather when he was baptized. I tried to read this to Sam when he was as old as Simon to develop his reading habit, but Sam is not very fond of books. He loves gadgets more. So this book had lain for quite some time in our storage cabinet upstairs along with other things of great sentimental value.

My Very First Bible by OMF Literature

I took it out of storage weeks ago, and some other books, for Simon. Simon has been showing signs that he loves printed words and pictures. I always see him going over his Kuya's school books. Simon was happy when he saw it. He would then ask me almost every night to read it to him. Oops, let me rephrase, he would ask me every night to identify all the objects and animals in the book and to tell him what's happening in the simplest way possible.

This is one of his favorite pages in the book.

The story of Noah and the flood.

Hi Mai, It's a very good thing that you expose your children, as young as they are, into Bible stories. As the Bible says in Proverbs, "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." :)

By the way, I saw that I'm one of your featured blogs in your sidebar. Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! :)

What a thoughtful gift. It's a kind of gift that I as a mom appreciates. And btw, I also appreciate your comment on my MM and Happiness post last week. It's a break from the usual "nice," "good" and then some precocious words about commenting back. I do comment back, don't we all? :) It's just a lot better when the comment is quite interesting such as yours was. Thank you for that.

Glad finally the book will be read and love. I know, children nowadays are so into gadgets. I love all kinds of convenience from technology, but I still love my hardcopy journal and pen, and hardcopy books, as well. It's not fun reading from an iPad when you're eating, and I always read when I eat!

Go, SImon! ^_^
